Use Marquee tool for selecting the screen capture region, i.e., a rectangular selection.
Use Lasso tool for selecting the screen capture region, i.e., a free-hand selection.
When caps-lock key is down, capture the entire screen of the monitor where the cursor is located.
When caps-lock key is down, capture the front-most window. If a standard menu is pulled-down, then, capture only the displayed menu.
Select the notification sound to use when Flash-It lets you know of a successful screen-capturing. You may also choose to invert the captured screen area without using a sound.
When saving a captured image to a PICT-based disk file, always try first to use a default folder.
Flash-It will not try to use a default folder, when saving a captured image to a PICT-based disk file.
The current default folder to save PICT files with Flash-It is shown here. To modify, click here and select a new folder with the file-open dialog.
Currently Flash-It is not using a default folder to save PICT files. To switch, click on the check box on the left.
Currently Flash-It is respecting the screen-capture region which has been previously used. To turn this off, uncheck this box.
When this box is un-checked, you have to manually select the screen-capture region whenever you use a capture HotKey.
HotKey to capture a screen-region and save the image to the clipboard.
HotKey to capture a screen-region and save the image to the scrapbook file.
HotKey to capture a screen-region and save the image to a PICT-based disk file.
HotKey to capture a screen-region and print it.
HotKey to capture a screen-region, then send the image to the destination that you specify a second later.
HotKey to send an existing image in the clipboard to the destination that you specify.
HotKey to modify a few of the Flash-It options without going through the control panel.
Assign a new key assignment to the selected HotKey.

Select a default application to use when you open a PICT file saved by Flash-It.
